Designing My Own ICF Home — A Case Study
By Ariel Petty
Ariel Petty found her lot for her dream ICF home and is in the process of building it. The result is an unconventional design that works.
How To: Planning ICF Construction Sequences
By Tom Patton
One of the most common questions about ICF is how to plan the construction sequencing or phasing — how many courses to install and when to place concrete. The type and size of ICF structures relates to the sequencing of the installation. In all applications, and in all ICF core sizes, the bottom of the ICF wall is connected and laterally supported at the footing or slab with reinforcement dowels. This article provides a basic overview of the “‘how to” for each method.
