ICF Builder Awards Open For Entries
Entries are now being accepted for the annual ICF Builder Awards and the People’s Choice Award. The entry form is available on the website, www.icfmag.com, under the Builder Awards tab. The deadline to return entry forms is Friday, October 13, 2023. Construction team members are encouraged to submit projects in the following categories: Heavy Commercial, Light Commercial, MultiFamily, MultiFamily Low-Rise, Small Residential, Large Residential, Unlimited Residential, Pools, Education, and Specialty Applications. You can download the entry form and find info on judging criteria, tips on filling out the notebook, and past winning projects on the website. The awards ceremony is the most high-profile event in the ICF industry with winners announced at a catered evening event at World of Concrete each January. This year the awards will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The Builder Awards competition is an annual event designed to showcase the innovation, quality, and energy-efficiency of ICF construction, and promote them as a sustainable, durable, and attractive building material.

ACI Releases 2023 Collection of Concrete Codes, Specifications, Practices
The American Concrete Institute has released the 2023 ACI Collection of Concrete Codes, Specifications, and Practices. The ACI Collection is the most comprehensive and largest single source of information on concrete design, construction, materials, and repair, with over 50 codes and specifications and more than 200 practices — including all guides, reports, and education publications. The 2023 version includes dozens of newly published documents ranging from codes on fiber-reinforced polymer to guides for concrete rehabilitation, shotcrete, and much more. Additional categories in the ACI Collection include concrete materials, properties, design, construction, reinforcement, specialized application, repair, structural analysis, and innovation, plus popular topics such as slabs, formwork, and masonry.
